Great Welsh Walkathon

The 4th Great Welsh Walkathon is set to take place on the 30th September 2012. This fantastic WOMEN ONLY walking event supports Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.

There are three distances that can be walked - 5k, 10k and a half marathon.

The Walkathon takes place in the beauty of the Millennium Coastal Park in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire and is safe, flat and traffice free.

Each participant that complease the event will receive a memento, certificate and a goody bag.

For the 2012 Walkathon HBA has reduced the cost of entry to £6 for the 5k, £10 for the 10k and £15 for the Half Marathon - the cost of entry will go to covering the event overheads. However unlike Walkathons in previous years, HBA now emphasises that each participant will be encouraged to raise funds via sponsorship for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. A sponsorship form can be downloaded form the event menu.

The Great Welsh Walkathon is a WOMEN ONLY walking event over a 5k, 10k or half marathon distance. The Walkathon will be in support of the charity Jo's cervical cancer trust.

Set in Carmarthenshire the Walkathon will take place in one of the most beautiful parts of the South Wales coastline.The course is flat, safe and traffic free and is suitable for walkers and power walkers of all standards.

The views across the Loughor Estuary to the Gower Peninsular are fantastic. The traffic free terrain is perfect and the course is considered flat with a few very mild undulations

Why not take part and encourage those around you to take part also; ....  the event is open to all women and we welcome you.

Ther will be a superb memento and goody bag for all finishers. At the event refreshments will be available from hot and cold drinks to light snacks ...
